Stock = ~26lbs Aluminum = 12.3lbs Carbon fiber = ~13lbs+ NA Aluminum = 11.5lbs NA Steel = ~17lbs (~ = off the top of my head)Turbo Mag Oct, 1996 did some testing on a Fbody and a lightened driveshaft. It showed a 5% gain basically across the whole powerband and wasn't as drastic of a weight difference as the Z lightened shaft. Also, the Z being 2 pc going to 1 pc and lightened should give more gain with less friction of the center bearing. Powertrain Industies guarantees it up to 800 ft lbs of torque, but they're the type of people that if you can break it, they would probably replace it regardless and it will probably take more than that. There were some vibe problems, but they took care of everyone with a problem to make sure they weren't out any extra $. There were over 250 Z32 owners that bought through them since the group thing started. I think they are keeping the prices close to the same. Their prices were low $300 for NA aluminum mid $300 for aluminum TT under $200 for NA steel You can find their # at [ www.driveshaft.com ] John was the one dealing with TT.NET members, so ask for him and say you're from the 300ZX website.
